Application and Enrollment of Chinese Intensive Course

Admission Introduction:

In order to help foreign experts, scholars and students to further their scientific research, teaching and professional study, BISTU opens Chinese Culture Training Courses, including Phonetics, Grammar, Speaking & Conversation, Listening, Writing, Reading and Social practice, etc. Intensive course curriculum is designed to learn three-semester courses (47 academic weeks) in one year, ensuring that students can master Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing skills very well in a short time.

Qualification for Admission:

Chinese Intensive Course

1. Students with Chinese proficiency of Beginner's level, or who have learned Chinese for more than half a year, or who hold HSK level 3 certificate or above; 2. high school diploma, no younger than 18 years old;

3. In good health, abide by Chinese laws and regulations and school regulation and rules of BISTU;

4. Provide high School Graduation transcript or a copy of transcript for three years' study; 5. Fill in Application Form for Chinese Language Study, and 6 passport photos (2-inch size).

Entrance Examination: Yes

Materials Required for Application:

1. Please fill in the application form and then mail it to BISTU College of International Education, together with the degree certificate, transcript, and physical examination record.

2. Once receiving all the application material, the school will issue the Unconditional Offer and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form) to the admitted students as soon as possible.

3. Please hold the Unconditional Offer and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 form), passport and Physical Examination Record to Chinese Embassies to apply for X visa. If students plan to study in China for less than six months, students can also appy for F visa.

Visa Application and Enrollment:

While getting enrolled, international students shall hold the original passport with X or F visa. For the students who study in China for more than six months, they can apply for X visa in Chinese Overseas Visa Authorities, handing in Foreign Visa Application Form (JW202), Unconditional Offer and Physical Examination Record for Foreigners. Those who study in China for no more than six months, they can apply for F visa in Chinese Overseas Visa authorities, handing in Foreign Visa Application Form (JW201 or JW202) and Unconditional Offer. For the students coming with a group, please apply for a group visa of F type with the invitation letter of the group.

Application fee: RMB500

Tuition: Long-term Chinese courses:RMB16,000/academic year; RMB8,000/semester.

             Short-term Chinese Culture course:RMB400/week.

             Undergraduate courses: RMB20,000/academic year.

             Postgraduate courses: RMB26,000/academic year.
